While the shortest amount of daylight is on the Winter solstice, December 21st, every day after that until the Summer solstice on June 21st the amount of daylight increases.
I am not a bird watcher, but I am interested in what is living and making its home in and around where we live. We routinely see bald eagles (they have a unique call), eagles, and osprey flying overhead.
Our current location in the state of Washington is by far the northern most latitude where I have lived. The changes in sunrises and sunsets and the amount of daylight and darkness varies considerably here, like I have never experienced before.
